This information was shared by Dmitry Skorobogatov, former editor-in-chief of the “Vesti” program on “Rossiya-1,” as reported by “Ekho.”
According to him, special news bulletins have been prepared for the Kremlin leader for the last 15 years, in which he is lied to about the state of affairs in Russia.
Suppose a regular “Vesti” broadcast aired at 8 p.m., after which the editorial team remained. We had, accordingly, instructions on which news to keep in this broadcast, which to add, where to embellish, where to select, so that Putin would later be shown an ideal picture of the present-day perfect Russia. As it turns out, Putin knows very little about the actual progress of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The distortion of information particularly intensified after Ukraine sank the missile cruiser “Moskva” on April 14, 2022.
“Putin was kept in the dark for over a week that he no longer has the cruiser ‘Moskva,’ that he is left with only the ‘second army of the world’,” Skorobogatov noted.
