Former Sejm deputy Piotr Fogler has officially announced his intention to return his award to President Karol Nawrocki. In doing so, the politician is publicly protesting the stripping of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy of the Order of the White Eagle.
Key points:
- Fogler emphasized that he does not consider Nawrocki the president of Poland.
- He added that he is still awaiting a recount of votes by the Central Electoral Commission.
Fogler outraged by Nawrocki’s decision
Symbolically, I am returning my award to this resident as a protest against the absurd decision to strip the President of Ukraine, fighting Ukraine, of the order!

He made it clear that this is not a gesture towards the president who awarded Zelenskyy – namely Andrzej Duda – but specifically towards Karol Nawrocki.
According to Fogler, the latter is increasingly mocking Poland and “all of us.”
What this gentleman, who calls himself president, has done and continues to do is a tragedy, and for me, he is not the president of my country, but merely a mistake, and I am still waiting for a recount of the votes by the Central Electoral Commission… because to this day I do not know the final results of these elections, — emphasized the former Polish deputy.
