The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported a massive strike on Ukraine, cynically claiming hits on military targets.

Key points:

  • The Russian Ministry of Defense carried out massive strikes on Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipro, cynically claiming hits on military objectives.
  • Strikes were launched from air, land, and sea, utilizing attack drones.
  • The Russian Ministry of Defense fabricated incorrect reasons for the strikes on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, attempting to blame Ukrainian air defense.

Russia lies about the reasons for the strikes on Kyiv

This was stated by the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

Thus, the Russian armed forces allegedly carried out a massive strike with “high-precision weapons” on Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipro. The targets, according to them, were defense industry facilities, military airfields, and army recruitment centers.

For the attack, according to their statements, weapons launched from air, land, and sea were employed, along with attack drones.

Regarding the hits on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the Russian department cynically explained that a missile from the “Patriot” system allegedly hit the Lavra—meaning, according to the occupiers’ version, the monument was struck by Ukrainian air defense.

One of the reasons for the malfunctioning of this system could be that Western countries supplied the Kyiv regime with expired missiles, the Russian Federation cynically stated.

Concerning the strikes on the Oleksandr Dovzhenko Film Studio and the “Nova Poshta” terminal, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that drones were allegedly assembled at the former location, and dual-use goods were stored at “Nova Poshta.”

Indeed, the aggressor country’s Ministry of Defense boasted about the mythical destruction of the following enterprises:

  • PJSC “Kyiv Plant ‘Radar’,” which develops and manufactures components for long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as produces and repairs military-purpose radar systems;

  • LLC “Bespiilotni Tekhnologii,” engaged in the assembly of long-range attack UAVs from foreign components;

  • PJSC “Mayak Plant,” which produces warheads for UAVs and launch accelerators for “Flamingo” cruise missiles;

  • “Kyiv State Plant ‘Burevisnyk’,” which manufactures long- and medium-range UAVs, as well as radar equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine;

  • LLC “Ukr Armo Tek,” which assembles warheads (munitions) for UAVs and various types of missiles;

  • “Kyiv Aggregate Plant” and “Aviation Repair Plant No. 410 of Civil Aviation,” which produce aerial and space aircraft, manufacture and repair aircraft turbofan engines, as well as components for long- and medium-range UAVs;

  • PrJSC “Dnipro Electromechanical Plant,” industrial enterprises in Kharkiv, “Greenhouse Solution,” and LLC “DT-1 Group,” which assemble warheads for UAVs and various types of missiles.

In addition, military airfields in Vasylkiv, Uman, Cherkasy, and Chervona Slobidka were allegedly struck, as were territorial recruitment centers in the city of Kyiv.
