Drone Attack on Moscow Leads to Over 500 Flights Delayed at Airports

The most considerable disruptions occurred at Sheremetyevo: as of 11:00 AM, 50 departures and 60 arrivals were canceled, with an additional 147 flights delayed. At Vnukovo, 41 flights were canceled, and 133 were delayed.

At Domodedovo, 25 flights could not depart: nine were canceled, and 16 were delayed. For arrivals, 10 flights were canceled, and another 56 were delayed. At Zhukovsky, at least four departure flights were delayed, and one arrival flight was canceled.

Rosaviatsia stated that restrictions have been lifted at Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo, while Domodedovo and Zhukovsky are handling flights by agreement.

On June 18th, Ukrainian drones penetrated the layered air defense of the Russian capital and struck the Moscow Oil Refinery in Kapotnya, resulting in a massive fire at the facility. Russian media are referring to this attack as the most extensive in the past two years.
